In addition, a first-hand understanding of Engineering Business, Marketing, Client relations &amp; Project Management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Will be responsible for providing technical support in the planning, design, and construction of rehabilitation, repairs, and\/or expansions of existing water\/wastewater treatment plants, distribution\/collection systems, and pump\/lift stations design solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Will perform hydraulic modeling using a variety of programs.<\/li>\n<li>Will design perform the Layout and design flow elements of both water and wastewater treatment plants.<\/li>\n<li>Will serve as the QA\/QC reviewer or technical advisor on projects.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure project compliance with all AIM practices and quality and safety standards.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate coordination for timely completion and submission of project deliverables.<\/li>\n<li>Developing data analysis and developing deliverable reports.<\/li>\n<li>Designs and construction supervision of other hydraulic engineering projects for control and use of water: Computes and estimates rates of water flow.<\/li>\n<li>Designs and coordinates construction of artificial canals, conduits, and mains to transport and distribute water; and plans reservoirs, pressure valves, and booster stations to obtain proper water pressure at all levels.<\/li>\n<li>Experience interpreting hydraulic schematics and troubleshooting.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with mechanical and electro-hydraulic valves and applicable control systems.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Hydraulic Simulation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Reporting:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Timely submission of the report for review to the GMD<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Civil Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or related field.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years\u2019 experience in the related field<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in hydraulic modelling software and CAD tools<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of hydrology, fluid mechanics, and open channel flow.<\/li>\n<li>Good analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Membership or eligibility for registration with professional bodies such as COREN, NSE, or equivalent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Key Competencies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, MS Project, &amp; Outlook)<\/li>\n<li>Auto-CAD 2014, Auto-CAD Revit,<\/li>\n<li>Structural Design Software (StaadPro, Tekla, Prokon, ETABS, SAFE, SACS)<\/li>\n<li>Good command of the English Language (Oral &amp;Written).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"application-method\" style=\"margin-top:10px; color: #069;\" class=\"mag-b ts-18 bm-t-0 bm-b-5 \"><b>Method of Application <\/b><\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"mag-b bm-b-30\">\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:\u00a0<strong>jobs@aim-consultants.com<\/strong>\u00a0using the Job Title as the subject of the email.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Job Type Contract Qualification BA\/BSc\/HND Experience 5 years Location Lagos Job Field Engineering \/ Technical&amp;nbsp Hydraulic Engineer at AIM Consultants Limited Hydraulic Engineer Job Purpose Comprehensive knowledge of principles of Hydraulic structure design and structural engineering design in areas of bridges, high-rise buildings, telecommunication and overhead water-tank towers, etc. using steel, concrete and composite materials.
