Duration: Temporary, short-term; 3-5 days of training followed by 5-10 days of data collection, with the opportunity to work on multiple surveys pending satisfactory performance
Location: Gombe state. Training in Gombe city, rest of the work in Funakaye LGA and/or Deba LGA
Reports to: Survey Supervisor
Salary: Daily stipend, pending satisfactory completion of enumerator training
Minimum Qualification: Secondary school certificate, with a preference for post-secondary education in community health or a related disciplineAbout The Taimaka Project:
is a highly cost-effective, Founder’s Pledge recommended nonprofit that delivers reimagined pediatric malnutrition treatment to save the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children. We implement a modified form of community management of acute malnutrition (CMAM) treatment targeting children with severe acute malnutrition (SAM) in Gombe State, Nigeria.To evaluate the impact of our CMAM programs in terms of lives saved by our program and the cost per life saved, our field research team is preparing to collect high-quality data to serve as inputs for our cost-effectiveness analyses. The data collection will primarily use two survey methods, and , to collect the data on the prevalence of malnutrition, mortality rates, and coverage of CMAM treatment. This will involve both quantitative and qualitative surveys.We are seeking enumerators to join our research team to work on multiple rounds of data collection. The enumerators will be responsible for collecting high-quality data on nutritional status and other indicators among children under 5 years of age and their caregivers at field sites in Yamaltu/Deba and Funakaye LGAs of Gombe state. Survey areas will include remote and hard-to-reach locations. The fieldwork for the first round of surveys is expected to begin in Gombe State in mid-May 2025.Survey Enumerator Terms of Reference:Duties and responsibilities:
