Job description: Job Ad & Profile DescriptionPosition : Partnership and Business Development Officer – MaiduguriWe are looking for a Partnership and Business Development Officer.
The Partnership and business development Officer plays an important role in risk mitigation of project funds, through their analysis and detection of financial misappropriations, working closely with the Grant Administration Managers who assess the institutional risk of grantees. Officer will support the organization’s business development efforts by identifying funding opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and maintaining donor relationships to support the organization’s growth and sustainability.
Job Responsibilties
- Develop and implement a comprehensive global business development strategy that aligns with YIPDI’s overall goals and objectives.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate strategies for securing funding through grants, partnerships, donations, and other revenue streams globally.
- Identify and secure global funding opportunities from a diverse range of sources, including international governments, multilateral agencies, private sector, and foundations.
- Develop compelling proposals for potential funders and partners to support YIPDI’s global initiatives.
- Lead the development of high-quality proposals, concept notes, and partnership agreements tailored to funding opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective donors and partners to ensure ongoing support.
- Consolidate proposal write ups and draft budgets from field teams in a timely manner for select donors as agreed with line manager.
- Support program development through review of specific project proposals, concept notes and assessment reports.
- Collate and disseminate donor-specific requirements and guidelines for tenders and proposal processes.
- Provide support in relation building with specific priority donors including representing YIPDI to the donors as requested by management.
- Serve as focal point for relaying updates from field to specific donors and ensure instructions on programming changes from donor are communicated to field.
- Provide timely support in processing of emergency requests under project contingency funds and crisis modifiers by assessing competing emergency needs, prioritizing interventions for emergency funding and preparing requisite documentation in coordination with the Technical Managers and Head of Programmes.
- Provide inputs during development of Consortia including drafting of pre-teaming agreements and donor-specific grants requirements.
- Leads the design and implementation of country and area resource mobilization strategies intended to strengthen funding and partnerships to deliver
- Monitors the funding pipeline and leads on new business development and forecasting at a country and area levels.
- Actively identifies, qualifies and tracks funding and partnership opportunities in a systematic manner in pursuit of supporting YIPDI’s programming in Nigeria.
- Actively tracks multi-country, multi-sector and multi-area funding opportunities and looks for new consortium partnerships with stakeholders at country level for multi-country programming.
- Lead on mapping activities so that YIPDI can have deep understanding of the donor landscape, including donors, stakeholders, I/LNGOS and programmes that work in YIPDI’s thematic areas.
