- We are looking to hire a Procurement Assistant to join our Shagamu team.
- The Procurement Assistantwill be involved in the sourcing of goods and services, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement to support organizational operations.
- The role involves field engagement of vendors/suppliers.negotiation, contract management, and maintaining compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Applicants in the environs of Lagos and Ibadan willing to relocate are also encouraged to apply, as accomodation will be provided at the company site in Shagamu.
Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, service, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and deadlines with vendors and suppliers.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods/services.
- Vendor vetting and management.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities and staying ahead of market trends.
- Assist in conduct of supplier performance evaluations and manage vendor agreements effectively.
Qualifications/Requirements
- BSc / HND / NCE / Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management andBusiness Administration, or a related field.
- 2 – 4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management.
- Good knowledge of markets in Lagos to source for industrial wares is a must.
- Additional certifications such as Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) or Nigerian Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management (NIPSM) are a plus.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software
- A proactive mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Salary
N2,000,000 – N2,400,000 annually.Method of Application
