Job description: About the ClientOur client is a global industrial group specializing in services for the oil and gas sector, is hiring for its Nigerian subsidiary to support a major gas extraction plant construction project.About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced procurement professional to manage sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of essential equipment, materials, and services, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and delivery while maintaining regulatory compliance. Reports to ProjectManager/Commercial Director.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project goals, schedules, and budgets.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from vendor sourcing to purchase order issuance and delivery tracking.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian Content Development requirements and other procurement regulations.
- Negotiate contracts and purchase agreements to secure the best commercial terms.
- Collaborate with engineering, planning, logistics, and contracts teams to align procurement with technical specifications and timelines.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any delivery, quality, or cost-related issues.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases.
- Support audits and provide procurement status reports to project and corporate management.
Skills & Qualifications✅Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
✅ 4–10 years of experience in procurement within the oil & gas, construction, or energy sector.
✅Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, procurement regulations, incoterms, and logistics.
✅ Proven experience in large-scale EPC or construction projects, preferably in West Africa.
✅ Negotiation and supplier management expertise with familiarity in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).✅Experience working within Nigerian Content requirements and engaging local vendors✅Preferred Certifications & Requirements:
Professional certifications such as CIPS, ISM, or equivalent are a plus.
Knowledge of international and local procurement laws and standards.Conditions & BenefitsLocation: Nigeria
