Job Title: Procurement Officer
Location: Gbagada, Lagos

Job Purpose
- To develop, implement, and manage effective, best-in-class systems for the effective management of supplier relationships and interfaces with Food Concepts.
Core Responsibilities and Key Result Areas
Procurement Operations:
- Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
- Plan and approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
- Manage inventories and maintain accurate purchase and pricing records.
- Maintain and update supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
- Maintain good supplier relations and negotiate contracts.
- Research and evaluate prospective suppliers.
- Prepare purchasing reports for all the agreements they have with suppliers and vendors
- Prepare plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.
- Follow and enforce the company’s procurement policies and procedures.
Risk and Cost Management:
- Perform risk management for a supply contract.
- Examine and test existing contracts.
- Ensure a clear audit trail, process transparency, and clarity of roles of individual parties in the Procurement process.
- Key Performance Indicators:
- Quality of business suppliers.
- Procurement turnaround time.
- Quality of goods/services procured.
- Quality of risk management/prevention of risk exposure in the procurement processes.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Job Specifications:
- A good first degree in social/management/physical sciences.
- Membership of the CIPS, CILS, CILCS, CISCOM, Lean Six Sigma, or any other related professional qualification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, especially in the QSR/Food Industry sector.
Salary
N120,000 – N150,000 Monthly.
