- We are looking to hire a procurement officer to join our leading team.
- The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing goods and services, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement to support organizational operations.
- The role involves negotiation, contract management, and maintaining compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, service, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and deadlines with vendors and suppliers.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods/services.
- Vendor Management
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities and staying ahead of market trends.
Qualifications
- BSc / HND Degree in Audit, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software
- A proactive mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
