Job Position: Procurement Officer

Job Summary

• The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing quality goods and services at competitive prices while ensuring timely delivery and compliance with company standards.
• This role is essential for maintaining uninterrupted resort operations and ensuring guest satisfaction through the availability of required supplies and services.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure food items, beverages, housekeeping materials, maintenance supplies, and other operational needs.
• Develop and manage relationships with reliable vendors and service providers.
• Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate favourable contracts and terms.
• Ensure compliance with quality and hygiene standards, especially for perishable goods.
• Work closely with the storekeeper to monitor stock levels and reorder when necessary.
• Assist in monthly stock audits and reconciliation.
• Prevent overstocking or understocking that may affect operations.
• Prepare and process purchase orders based on requisitions from departments.
• Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement in line with resort needs.
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to the resort’s policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of all procurement transactions and documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of the procurement budget.
• Track expenses and suggest cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.

Requirements

• Education:OND, HND, Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years in a procurement role, preferably within hospitality or FMCG sector.
• Preferably female, to support gender balance within the team

Skills:

• Strong pricingand communication skills
• Knowledge of Lagos local suppliers and markets (especially Lekki and it environs)
• Familiarity with inventory management and procurement software
• Organizational and multitasking ability
• Strong ethical standards and attention to detail
