Impact on Reproductive Health Initiative is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization committed to the improvement of the life of persons with reproductive health related challenges including those posed by HIV/AIDS resulting in evolvement of orphans and vulnerable children, extending to orphans from other causes. Intervene on Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV/AIDS and promotion of Good Governance including Peace and Conflict Resolution.
Established in March 2007, registered with the Cooperate Affairs Commission (CAC) under part C of the Companies and Allied Matters Act, Cap59, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 1990 in October 2010 with registration number CAC/IT/NO/412955.
Since inception, Impact on Reproductive Health Initiative has been working in collaboration with other relevant stakeholders including the beneficiaries to achieve her goals. We also provide technical backstopping to our collaborators/partners on need basis.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Program Officer
Location: Eket, Akwa Ibom
Employment Type: Full-time
Contract Period: October 2025 – December 2025 (3 months)
Total Contract Fee: Competitive and commensurate with experience
Possibility of extension and transition to permanent Program Officer role based on performance
About the Role
- We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Program Officer to support the implementation of the CCCRN THRIVE Project in Akwa Ibom State.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating program activities, managing data, supporting community-level interventions, and ensuring timely reporting.
- This position offers an excellent opportunity for career growth and, based on performance, may transition into a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities
Program Coordination & Implementation:
- Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of project activities at community and facility levels.
- Ensure timely delivery of program outputs in line with project objectives.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders, community workers, and project leadership.
Community Engagement & Capacity Building:
- Work with Community Case Workers (CCWs) and other partners to strengthen community systems.
- Provide mentorship and technical support to field staff.
- Mobilize communities for effective program participation and uptake of services.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL):
- Support tracking of key program indicators.
- Document best practices, lessons learned, and success stories.
- Assist in organizing review meetings, trainings, and stakeholder engagements.
Data & Information Management:
- Collect, verify, and analyze program data from the field.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports.
- Ensure data quality and compliance with donor reporting standards.
Eligibility & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in program implementation (preferably in HIV/AIDS, OVC, or health-related projects).
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be resident in Eket LGA or willing to relocate prior to engagement.
- Strong skills in data management, analysis, and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
