- The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for supporting daily laboratory operations by collecting, preparing and labeling of raw materials and finished feed samples, as well as maintaining laboratory hygiene and records.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect feed ingredients and product samples at various stages of production.
- Ensure proper labeling and documentation of all samples for traceability.
- Store and record retained samples for future testing or verification.
- Monitor raw materials for contaminants and report deviations to the QC officer.
- Maintain proper records of test results, deviations and batch numbers.
Requirements
- Minimum of SSCE with relative experience / ND in Animal Production, Food Science, or related fields.
- 1–2 years of experience in a feed mill working in a related QA/QC role is an advantage.
- Attention to detail, good record-keeping, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of feed ingredients, nutrient standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Familiar with feed laboratory instruments and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills.
