We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Quality Control Officer

Location: Mowe, Ogun

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Quality Testing: Perform routine sampling and laboratory analysis (microbiological, chemical, and physical) on raw water, treated water, sachet water, bottled water, and packaging materials.
  • Production Oversight: Supervise sanitation processes, water treatment procedures, and factory hygiene to ensure 24/7 compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Corrective Action & Follow-Up: Investigate non-conforming results, recommend corrective actions, and verify implementation.
  • Internal Audits: Participate in internal inspections and readiness exercises for external regulatory audits.
  • Staff Training: Conduct periodic refresher training for production and sanitation staff on hygiene best practices and contamination prevention.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed and organized QC logs, generate daily/weekly reports, and escalate deviations or incidents immediately to management.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure production processes and end products meet NAFDAC, SON, WHO, and other regulatory benchmarks.

Minimum Requirements

  • OND / HND / B.Sc. in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Food Science, or related discipline.
  • Strong working knowledge of NAFDAC/SON compliance protocols, GMP, and HACCP principles.
  • Must be process-driven, meticulous, and capable of working independently under pressure.
  • Sound record-keeping and digital reporting ability (Excel proficiency required).
  • Knowledge of ISO 22000 or 9001 is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 1 – 2 years of hands-on experience in a food-grade or water bottling plant.
  • Proficiency in quality monitoring techniques including titration, microbial analysis, and residual chlorine testing.
  • Demonstrated understanding of water treatment processes including reverse osmosis, UV sterilization, ozonation, and filtration.

Salary

N75,000 – N150,000 Monthly.
