Job Title: Research Analyst

Location: Lagos

Job Scope

  • This role is centered on investment and market research, with a focus on delivering high-quality insights that support data-driven portfolio decisions and client satisfaction.
  • As a Research Analyst, you’ll be responsible for tracking financial markets, analyzing investment opportunities, providing data-informed portfolio management, and supporting the team with key research outputs.
  • You’ll also contribute to other wealth management activities by providing operational support to the private client services unit.

Responsibilities

What you will be doing:

  • Conduct market research, macroeconomic updates, and competitor benchmarking to support the team’s investment recommendations.
  • Monitor financial news, earnings reports, and global economic indicators relevant to high-net-worth clients.
  • Assist in creating proprietary research materials and briefing memos ahead of client consultations.
  • Assist in the preparation of client presentations, quarterly reviews, and investment proposals.
  • Assist wealth managers in preparing, organizing, and maintaining client onboarding documents, contracts, and KYC/AML compliance materials.
  • Liaising with internal teams (legal, compliance, operations) to facilitate smooth workflows.
  • Support the development of investment ideas by gathering data on equities, ETFs, fixed income, and alternative assets.
  • Compile performance summaries, asset allocation snapshots, and risk analyses for portfolios.

Requirements

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a wealth management, investment, or financial services environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Highly organized with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Comfortable handling confidential information and sensitive client data.
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills; familiarity with financial data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Morningstar, Capital IQ, Yahoo Finance) is a plus.
