We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Research Assistant – Facility Maintenance
Ref No: STS2025-14
Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Contract
Contract: 6 months’ renewable
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of research infrastructure, including animal housing, water systems, and equipment.
- Support logistics for field and lab activities, including equipment setup and transport.
- Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies.
- Assist in repairs and upkeep of farm and laboratory facilities.
- Ensure safety standards are maintained across all operational areas.
- Perform any other duty as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications

HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Agriculture or related field with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing similar role in a well-structured environment.
Competencies
The ideal candidate must:
- Have strong organizational and communication skills.
- Have the ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Be experienced in facility maintenance and basic data handling.
- Be familiar with digital tools for data entry and reporting (e.g., Excel, Google Forms).
