Overall Purpose of the Job
- To leverage deep expertise in subsurface evaluation to enhance reservoir understanding, optimize hydrocarbon recovery, and unlock greater value from the assets through data-driven insights and strategic decision-making.
Principal Accountabilities
- Reservoir fluid characterization and field studies.
- Material balance and reservoir simulation.
- Volume forecasting, economic analysis, and reserves assessment.
- Conduct subsurface and commercial studies to advance development opportunities.
- Maintain and update dynamic reservoir models; identify long-term constraints.
- Define reservoir design bases for projects.
- Develop and revise Field Development Plans (FDPs).
- Performance forecasting and depletion planning.
- Reservoir surveillance and production optimization.
- Opportunity generation and evaluation.
- Subsurface characterization and depletion planning.
- Workover and drillwell evaluations.
Requirements
The ideal candidate must meet the following requirements:
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of Second-Class Upper Division (2.1) in Chemical, Petroleum engineering or related disciplines.
- 8+ years in reservoir engineering focused roles.
- Experience with reserves estimation and economic evaluation.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and HSE standards in oil and gas operations.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and adapt to dynamic field conditions.
- NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
- Proven expertise in artificial lift systems, well testing, data analytics, and field development planning.
- Strong understanding of reservoir simulation, material balance, and performance forecasting.
- Proficient in using industry-standard software (e.g., Petrel, Eclipse, OFM, Prosper, GAP).
Skills:
- Extensive reservoir engineering knowledge and the ability to demonstrate strong competencies in reservoir characterization and simulation,
- Field development planning, reservoir management, production optimizations, well testing and pressure analysis for fields in various stages of development.
