Through the growth of our gas, LNG, power and environmental products businesses, we are supporting our customers’ desire for more and cleaner energy.As a Sales and Commercial Adviser for SNG, you will be at the forefront of this ambition by serving and managing the existing customers in our Agbara-Ota-Badagry (“AGOT”) Gas distribution zone, growing SNG’s gas sales from existing customers in the zone and protecting Shell value; exploring new customer leads and potential prospects, identifying, engaging and converting prospects to customer sales opportunities by executing agreements with them and expanding gas distribution to new customers in the zone. A vital component of this role is the relationship management of the customers in conjunction with the Sales and Commercial Lead West and SEN’s commercial Operations team and the management of the relationship with other business partners.What you’ll be doingYou will be part of the energetic Shell Energy Nigeria Sales and Commercial Team, driving the growth ambition for the business by serving and wining customers. Based on your experience in gas and energy marketing and the value chain, you will develop the intimate relationships with customers, partners, regulators and other players to identify, develop and drive opportunities to grow gas sales and deliver value for our customers and Shell.On this role, you will:Be responsible for exploring new customer leads and prospects, identifying, engaging and converting prospects to customer sale opportunities by executing gas sale and purchase agreements with customers.Be responsible for driving new customer engagements, maturation and growth in AGOT and growing gas sales volumes at a minimum of 5% year on year to meet SEN’s growth targets.Be responsible for maturing and delivering new customer connections in AGOT adhering to the SEN LOAD Manual, requisite Shell Trading and Supply process as well as the Shell Group Business Principles.Be responsible for developing marketing strategies for the development of gas sale clusters in AGOT.Be responsible for contract negotiations, renewals as well as functional reviews and negotiations of Gas Sales and Purchase, Agreements and other agreements to support SNG’s Business in AGOT.Be responsible for managing existing customer relationship focusing on a deep understanding of the customers, their business, critical issues, growth, expansion plans and strategies.Be responsible for engaging and managing customer relationships for maximum value and continuous improvement of SNG’s customers appreciation and loyalty to SNG’s brand and gas distribution business.Be responsible for enhancing SNG’s customer experience, building stronger customer relations towards optimum SEN customer service deliveryBe responsible for conducting market surveys, customer intelligence reports, providing business intelligence and improvement analysis as well as generating internal strategy documents and industry competitive landscape reports.What you bringBSc in a relevant field and 7+ years of experience in E&P, oil & gas, or gas distribution with deep knowledge of natural gas sales, marketing, trading, regulation, and commercial operationsProven track record in commercial, sales, marketing, and business development in complex, multi-stakeholder environments in Nigeria; experience with gas commercial roles or local distribution companies is a plusStrong understanding of commercial deal structuring and commercial agreements such as gas supply, sales, transportation, and infrastructure developmentSkilled in building trusted relationships with customers and stakeholdersCustomer-focused and customer centric with the ability to identify, develop, and secure business opportunities and drive gas sales growthStrong negotiation skills, commercial acumen, and entrepreneurial mindset focused on maximizing value and profitabilityHigh integrity, self-motivated, resilient, innovative, analytical, and strategicCollaborative team player aligned with SNG’s growth agendaCommitted to promoting natural gas as a cleaner energy source and driving its development in NigeriaScam WarningShell does not request monetary payments (e.g. insurance policy, visa/work permit, HUET or HSSE training, special job offer, etc.) for employment.
