Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales of protective and marine coatings through direct client engagement and project-based selling.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, project leads, and expansion markets.
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including contractors, shipyards, industrial clients, and developers.
- Visit customers regularly to understand project requirements, advise on product selection, and promote suitable solutions.
- Coordinate with internal teams to support product trials, customer complaints, and post-sales support.
- Monitor project progress, competitor activity, and industry trends to inform strategy.
- Ensure proper documentation, CRM updates, and timely reporting on sales performance.
- Manage pricing, contract terms, and payment negotiations in line with company guidelines.
- Contribute to the development of dealer networks and promote channel growth in assigned territories.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales targets by product and region.
- Participate in the development of sales budgets and track performance against financial goals.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- B.Sc. or B.Tech in Chemistry, Paint Technology, or a related discipline.
- Experience of 4 to 5 years in paint/coatings sales, ideally within the marine, protective, or industrial sector.
- Familiarity with liquid coatings, surface preparation, and product specifications.
- Certification such as AMPP/NACE (Level 1 or 2) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent verbal and written English; French language skills are a strong advantage.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and account management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general reporting tools.
- Willingness to travel regularly for client visits and project monitoring.
- A self-motivated, results-oriented approach with the ability to work independently.
