Job description: Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced and result-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts, with a specific focus on ocean freight. The ideal candidate must possess deep expertise in freight forwarding and shipping line operations, and a proven track record of achieving and exceeding P&L targets. This role will be critical in driving revenue growth, market expansion, and customer acquisition in Nigeria’s competitive logistics landscape.Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve 100% P&L targets for the fiscal year.
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities in the ocean freight segment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including clients, shipping lines, port authorities, and regulatory agencies.
- Lead, manage, and mentor the Nigeria sales team to deliver consistent and sustainable performance.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform business strategy.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Report regularly on sales performance, forecasts, and strategic initiatives to the CEO.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.

- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho CRM).
- Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience with digital freight platforms and logistics software.

Experience and Qualification
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in freight forwarding, with a focus on ocean freight sales.
- Prior experience working with or in a top-tier freight forwarding company or shipping line.
- Proven track record of managing sales P&L and achieving performance targets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
