- This role is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Project management: Lead and manage large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and quality standards.
- Design and planning: Develop and implement designs for infrastructure projects, such as roads, bridges, buildings, and water treatment systems.
- Team leadership: Supervise and mentor junior engineers, technicians, and construction personnel.
- Quality control: Ensure projects meet quality standards, codes, and regulations.
- Collaboration: Work with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and government agencies, to ensure project requirements are met.
- Risk management: Identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring project safety and minimizing delays.
- Technical expertise: Provide technical guidance and support on complex engineering projects.
- Budgeting and cost management: Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Scheduling: Create and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion and meeting deadlines.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit reports on project progress, issues, and outcomes.
Requirements
What are we looking for?
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Masters in Structural Engineering will be an advantage
- Minimum of 15 years of post-qualification relevant working experience.
- Membership of relevant professional body (COREN, NSE etc)
- Candidate should have worked in a Construction Company or project-based organization.
- Computer Literacy and Knowledge.
- Good Knowledge of the use of Microsoft Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint.
- Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
- Good Critical Thinking, Problem-Solving Skills.
- Patience, Decisiveness, Resourcefulness and Detailed-Oriented Meticulousness
