We’ve raised over $90 million from some of the world’s most respected institutional investors, and we’re rolling out our game-changing services globally from our offices in Nigeria, South Africa, and the UK.As a Senior Officer, Financial Reporting, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. The role will stay abreast of regulatory changes and emerging accounting developments and ensure adequate insights into financial data to management.Responsibilities
- Monitor all balance sheet and income statement entries and ensuring that they reflect the correct balances and corrective actions are taken timeously
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Provide technical accounting support to business units.
- Preparation of financial reports, coordinates external and regulatory audits for subsidiary companies across Kuda Nigerian Entities
- Manage balance sheet substantiation across the Kuda Nigerian Entities
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data through continuous monitoring and review
- Conduct thorough analysis of financial data and performance metrics to identify trends and areas of improvement.
- Continuously assess and improve financial reporting process and systems to enhance accuracy, efficiency and scalability. Identify opportunities for automation and streamline reporting workflows.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation in accordance with IFRS
- Support the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing monitoring and analysis of budget vs. actual performance.
- Provide strategic financial guidance and support to senior management and key stakeholders.
RequirementsQualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related fields. ACA,ACCA or equivalent qualification preferred.
- A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, accounting or audit roles preferably in a Bank or Financial service company.
- Big 4 experience is an added advantage
- Solid understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements
- Advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software applications
- Excellent writing skills, and ability to explain technical accounting issues to colleagues.
