Following the crises in Northeast Nigeria, we further expanded our operations to address the Nutrition, Health, Food security and livelihoods, WASH, and shelter needs of conflict-affected communities.Action Against Hunger Nigeria programme is supported by FCDO, ECHO, GAC, BHA, SDC, UNICEF, EU, AFD, SIDA, and GFFO.Action Against Hunger is currently looking to fill the role of Senior Supply Officer who will be responsible for coordinating the supply to the base.Position DetailsReporting to: Logistics and Supply Chain ManagerProposed start date: July 2025Work location: Maiduguri, Borno StateKey responsibilities:
- Ensure procurement is processes according to the project’s PPP;
- Handle supplies in accordance with the appropriate procedure
- Handle orders in accordance with ACF procedures;
- Organize and manage PDs in LINK
- Prepare the necessary documents related to the order: Supplier Purchase Order, Delivery Note, etc;
- Check the accuracy of the information on all documentation;
- Ensure that all required validations are completed prior to procurement.
- Conduct market reviews to find new suppliers;
- Develop good relationships with suppliers;
- Negotiate prices with suppliers
- Maintain and develop a supplier database into LINK
- Ensure that ACF policies (Gender and Safeguarding, etc.) are well understood by suppliers
- Inform logistics and programs of their supply progress
- Keep LINK up to date with all relevant suppliers and market information;
- Ensure that all elements of procurement files are complete in LINK;
- Ensure that all procurement related documentation is carefully archived (Procurement Files,DN) electronically and physically in the archive room.
- Ensure warehouse team is well informed of deliveries to receive;
- Ensure that invoices contain the required information in accordance with ACF procedures;
- Ensure the update of procurement files with corresponding invoices;
- Ensure advance of cash is use and close according to the procedures of the finance department;
- Coordinate with the finance department to ensure proper follow-up of supplier payment.
- Complete and maintain the Contract Monitoring follow up;
- Complete and maintain the supply minutes.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor degree/HND or equivalent
- Min 2 years’ experience in procurement and/or logistics position
- Some experience in supervising Staff
- Strong computer skills in MS Office, especially MS Excel
- Rigorous, with strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong Integrity
- Professional level of English
- Ability to work in complex environment and can bear the work load
- Previous experience working for NGOs an asset, particularly international and/or Nutrition-health, WASH and FSL related NGOs
