Tempo Paper Pulp and Packaging Plc is one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of BOPP and CPP film to lamination and packaging industries in Africa. It was established in the year 2005 and commenced production of corrugated carton boxes. The flexible packaging arm of the business (BOPP) was introduced in the year 2011 with the first line while CPP production came into being in the year 2019.Our second line of 8.7 meter width was commissioned in 2022.
A state-of-the-art manufacturing unit in Ota, Ogun state (Nigeria) helps us in delivering world class BOPP and CPP films to our customers which meet the trends for recyclability and ultrahigh barrier films, also by manufacturing thicker films with advanced properties for monolayers. We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Shift Engineer, Mechanical
Location: Ota, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- To be responsible for all activities related to Mechanical tasks.
- Responsible for the Diagnosis and Analysis of Breakdown incidents
- To assist Mechanical and Utility Manager to service and resolve all Internal customers/departments
- To assist Mechanical and Utility Manager in Screening and Interviewing potential candidates for Mechanical department
- Ensures Team Compliance with all Safety Policies and Procedures
- To ensure Health and Safety guidelines are being followed
- Responsible for the Training of all people in the department.
- Responsible for the job card and checklist entries in ERP
- To assist Mechanical and Utility Manager in co-ordinating Budgets, Material and Human Capital needs
- To prepare Monthly/Weekly/Daily Maintenance & Breakdown reports or others as per Mechanical and Utility Manager requirement
- Responsible for all cost reduction projects within time frame and parameters set by management
- To assist Mechanical and Utility Manager in driving out all cost reduction projects including searching new Vendors, Suppliers, Re-engineering, formulation etc
- To design and implement maintenance strategies, procedures and methods
- Responsible for following up of all projects in each stage.
- Responsible for maintaining Minimum/Maximum and Reordering level of all Spare parts
- To assist Mechanical and Utility Manager in managing and directing Contract Jobs when required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s of Technology in Mechanical Engineering or related
- Added advantage: Master’s in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
- Minimum requirement: 8 years in Process Industry
- Added Advantage: More than 10 years and preferably in Plastic Industry.
Professional (Membership & Certification)
- Minimum requirement: Chamber of Engineers
- Added Advantage: NIL.
