Job Summary
- A Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of construction projects on-site.
- They ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- They manage the technical aspects of a project, providing expertise, problem-solving, and coordination between different teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the execution of construction activities, ensuring adherence to plans and specifications.
- Manage project schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Solve technical issues and provide solutions to on-site challenges.
- Evaluate and negotiate with contractors and subcontractors.
- Oversee the procurement of materials and services
- Implement cost-saving measures and manage changes to the project scope.
- Identify and assess project risks related to costs.
- Prepare valuations for completed work.
- Finalize project accounts and prepare final cost reports.
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure work meets required standards.
- Manage site operations, including site setup, logistics, and organization.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular progress reports.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications, etc.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
- Collaborate with architects and other project stakeholders etc.
- Analyze project plans and specifications to determine material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Any other assigned responsibility.
Salary
N300,000 – N500,000 / month.
