- This is a contract based on-site role located in Lagos for a Site Engineer at one of our project site in Lagos State.
- The Site Engineer will be responsible for on-site activities, quality control, communication with project stakeholders, and overseeing structural and civil engineering aspects of projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise construction activities to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor work to ensure compliance with specifications and timelines.
- Interpret construction drawings and plans and ensure proper implementation on-site.
- Maintain daily site logs, including labor, materials, and equipment used.
- Report and document progress, issues, delays, and variations.
- Liaise with project managers, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Communicate daily progress and issues to project managers.
- Forecast material and resource requirements and coordinate procurement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- A minimum of 5 years in a similar role within construction, preferably in infrastructure or commercial/residential building projects.
- Strong Communication skills
- Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering knowledge
- Experience in construction site supervision
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
