We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Sociologist
Location: Benin, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time
Duties and Responsibilities
- Engaging with stakeholders at community level
- Managing socio-economic surveys, including analysis and interpretation of survey data
- Compilation of social impact assessment action plan
- Participation in field schedule and collaboration with external consultant where applicable.
- Ensure timely distribution and dissemination of information to host communities and other stakeholders
- Monitoring, updating and ensuring compliance to schedules and procedures toward maintaining good relations with communities and other stakeholders.
- Ensure development of reports, monitoring and proper documentation of community/stakeholder engagement.
- Participate in the monitoring, updating and implementation of social action plans.
Qualifications
- A Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Sociology (specializing in Rural Sociology), Agricultural Extension and Communication, Natural Resource Management, Forestry, Social Sciences, or related fields in rural extension and field work.
- Must have strong communication skill and proficient in computer usage.
- Proficiency in communicating with Benin language will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience.
