Nestoil Plc was incorporated in Nigeria in 1991 for the provision of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services to the energy and oil & gas industry. Since then, Nestoil has grown to become the leading indigenous EPC provider for major IOCs (International Oil Companies) in Sub-Saharan Africa like National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Shell, Exxon Mobil, Chevron, Total, etc.

Job Description

  • We are on an evolutionary journey where we are changing our story. We are looking to hire an experienced Software Developer to join our diverse team in our Company.
  • In this role, you will be responsible to Provide technical guidance on complex applications programming projects.
  • Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Should have experience in the planning and execution of enterprise Microsoft SharePoint strategy.
  • Actively lead and support the deployment of SharePoint modern intranet and Team sites in SharePoint Online. Provide technical support to SAP ByD and analytics platform users. 

Responsibilities

As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for:

  • Working through all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SLDC) which includes gathering and analyzing business requirements, functional/technical specifications, designing, developing, testing, deploying the applications and providing production support.
  • Project designs and documentation; documents user stories or tasks
  • Developing systems and program test plans, including obtaining test data, conducting program, system testing and evaluating test result.
  • Performing complex coding assignment. Converts business requirements into software design and program code; Debug programs
  • Taking active steps to increase understanding of end-users functions to support applications such as SAP ByD and analytics platform
  • Providing first/second level technical support for vendor software. Installation and testing vendor upgrades and patches.
  • The effective communication with end-users and other IT staff on application upgrades, fixes and new processes, and impact of changes.
  • The analysis, development and supporting multiple-system interfaces and data integration
  • Working closely with and mentors SharePoint team members to ensure knowledge sharing and effective solutioning.
  • Writing instructions to guide IT Helpdesk staff with first level support tasks; logs, monitors and manages event calls regarding reported system issues.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders on functional application issues. 
  • The development of documentation defining application development process, including technical reports, communications, and instructional manuals
  • Evaluating and testing vendor-supplied software packages; Determining compatibility with existing systems
  • The research of the set-up and functionality of software modules to ensure optimal functionality for end-users; functions as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for end-users with questions and also help to debug application issues. 

Requirements

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems, or Software Engineering.
  • Familiarity using the ITIL framework. ITIL v3 Foundation Certification
  • Certification on any OO Language, 0365/SharePoint, UI/UX and or Database Platforms
  • 3 to 10 years of experience in application support and development; working with Microsoft SQL Server (Including 0365) SharePoint
  • Design and develop dashboards, and reports using SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI when appropriate; create and customize forms using Power Apps
  • Integration and customization of SharePoint Online, Power Apps and Power Automate
  • Able to provide end user technical support on SAP ByD ERP and Analytics platform
  • Migrate SharePoint features and data; prepare and deliver SharePoint end user training materials or instructions
  • Packaged Application Integration – Knowledge of and the ability to implement packaged application software and integrate it with company applications and database platforms.
  • Knowledge of Applications and Web Development Language Tools – ability to utilize a variety of specific tools and toolkits for the development and support of SharePoint and other applications. Example Java, C#, Python, .NET, JavaScript, PHP and Database tools 
  • Experience with building modern SharePoint sites using out of the box features 
  • Develop workflows using Power Automate Flow
