All our efforts are based on our value compass: humanity, respect, independence and neutrality, participation, and honesty and transparency.BackgroundDanish Refugee Council (DRC), and its Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding technical unit – the Danish Demining Group (DDG), has had an operational presence in Nigeria since 2015. DRC Nigeria is the largest DRC country mission in the West Africa region and one of the largest DRC country missions globally. Currently, DRC delivers life-saving assistance and protection to vulnerable, conflict-affected populations including internally displaced persons, returnees and host communities in the areas of humanitarian mine action, livelihoods, nutrition and food security, protection, shelter and non-food items (NFI) and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in 30+ Local Government Areas (LGAs) across Borno, Adamawa and Yobe states in northeast Nigeria.PurposeResponsible for supporting daily access operations and overseeing safety risk management in Katsina, with the ability to travel across the region as needed. The role ensures compliance with DRC safety policies, monitors staff movements, conducts risk assessments, manages guards, delivers safety briefings, and supports safety training and capacity building to enable secure program implementation. And supports the effective and timely delivery of logistics services in accordance with DRC and donor standards. This includes managing transportation and fleet operations, tracking assets and equipment, handling office and facility maintenance, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth program implementation in Katsina and surrounding areas. * Duties and ResponsibilitiesHumanitarian Access and Safety

Supply Chain

Experience and technical competencies: (include years of experience)At least 2 years with international or UN agencies, and in logistics or supply chain or safety, preferably in humanitarian settings.Desirable:

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Security Operations, Management, Communication, Criminology, Law, Public Administration, Logistics, Administration, Business, Engineering, IT, or related fields.General Regulations
