Job Title: Trading Manager

Job Summary
- The Trading Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding the company’s trading operations in crude oil, refined petroleum products, and natural gas.
- This role involves identifying profitable trading opportunities, managing commercial risk, overseeing transactions, and building strong market relationships in a highly dynamic and competitive global energy market.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Business Development:
- Develop medium and long-term trading strategies and business plans.
- Lead marketing and trading initiatives, ensuring all regulatory permits and approvals are obtained and maintained.
Operations & Risk Management:
- Work cross-functionally with finance, legal, operations, and compliance teams to ensure end-to-end trade execution and documentation.
- Monitor trade performance and ensure accurate recording, timely delivery, and contract fulfillment.
Export Coordination & Stakeholder Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and optimize crude export activities to ensure efficiency, low-cost operations, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead negotiations of off-take, handling, and terminal agreements with relevant parties.
Trading & Deal Execution:
- Execute trades involving crude oil, oil products, and natural gas with global counterparties, including IOCs, NOCs, traders, and refiners.
- Negotiate and close spot and term contracts, including sales, purchase, and off-take agreements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related discipline.
- A Master’s degree (MBA or related) is an added advantage.
- Professional certifications in Energy Trading, Risk Management, or Commodities Markets are beneficial.
- Strong track record in deal origination, execution, and profit delivery in physical and/or derivative markets.
- Experience working with international traders, oil majors, or national oil companies is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency in trading platforms and tools (e.g., Eikon, Platts, Argus).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in commodities or energy trading, particularly in crude oil and refined products.
