The ideal candidate will ensure vehicles are maintained, drivers perform efficiently, and all transport operations comply with safety and regulatory standards.Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all daily transport operations, including scheduling and routing
• Oversee maintenance schedules and ensure all vehicles are roadworthy and properly serviced
• Maintain vehicle documentation, licensing, insurance, and regulatory compliance
• Supervise a team of drivers, assign duties, monitor performance, and ensure discipline
• Monitor fuel usage, repair costs, and general transport-related expenditure
• Implement safety procedures and ensure full compliance with company transport policies
• Track vehicle GPS systems and optimize usage to reduce idle time and operational costs
• Prepare reports on fleet performance and recommend improvements
• Support company logistics, protocol, and staff mobility needs efficiently
• Liaise with vendors for vehicle procurement, servicing, and fleet expansion

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transport Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience managing a fleet and transport logistics operations
• Proven supervisory and people management skills
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian traffic laws, regulatory compliance, and logistics best practices
• Experience with fleet management software and GPS tracking systems
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure, with a strong sense of responsibility and discretion
