About the Role
- To manage trade related transactions from end to end including liaising with banks on LC reconciliations to ensure process optimization that drives efficiency achieving the objectives of the Company.
Job Description
Trade Arrangements:
- Ensure that all Form M’s are registered by the Nigeria Customs service on the single window Trade portal
- Establish Letters of Credit (LC) for suppliers with corresponding banks via local banks
- Update Trade obligations on the LC tracker
- Update the payment via FX purchase to each LC transaction on the tracker
Trade Reconciliation:
- Reconcile Bank Obligations to LC obligations on a regular basis for transparency
- Reconcile FX purchase to LC obligations
- Reconcile documentation issues with Supplier and Supplier Chain management
- Follow up on discrepancies with bank on documentations and payments
Treasury Records and Reporting:
- Maintain adequate filing system for all imports documents for safekeeping and easy retrieval
- Liaise other departments and provide the necessary required documents to ensure appropriate and correct feedback to regulatory authorities.
Trade Documentions:
- Proper filing of trade obligations and all exchange control documents
- Document and maintain proper files in month end closing files Review journal creation for bank account transactions
- Manage dispatches of Original Bill of Laden and all related document of trade deals
Requirements
What we ask:
- First Degree in Finance/commercial related courses
- 1-2 years’ experience in Treasury / Trade Operations
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
- Strong communication skills in both verbal and written
- Influencing skills to convince on the basis of arguments
- Proactiveness / Entrepreneurial mindset
- Adequate knowledge of SAP
- Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving Skills
