Job Title: Warehouse Incharge Officer
Location: Ajaokuta, Kogi

Job Summary
- The Warehouse Incharge is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- The role ensures proper inventory control, compliance with safety standards, and effective supervision of warehouse staff to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness in all warehouse activities.
Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations:
- Oversee the receipt, verification, and proper storage of incoming goods.
- Ensure timely and accurate picking, packing, and dispatch of materials.
- Plan and organize the warehouse layout for optimal space utilization.
- Monitor loading and unloading processes to minimize damages and discrepancies.
Staff Supervision and Coordination:
- Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve operational targets.
- Assign daily tasks and monitor performance to ensure efficiency.
- Resolve operational challenges and escalate issues to management where necessary.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and share daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse activity reports.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movement (GRN, delivery notes, invoices, etc.).
- Provide data and insights to management for decision-making.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements in warehouse operations.
- Introduce measures to minimize wastage, reduce costs, and improve turnaround time.
- Stay updated with latest warehouse management practices and technologies.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP/WMS or manual systems.
- Conduct periodic stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO (First-In-First-Out / First-Expiry-First-Out) methods are followed.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs to the procurement team.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, and warehouse best practices.
- Implement and monitor health, safety, and security measures within the warehouse.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (where applicable).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 5 – 10 years of experience in warehousemanagement.
- Certification in supply chain/warehouse management (an added advantage).
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP, or Warehouse Management Systems.
- Leadership and people management skills.
