In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components using various welding techniques and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements
- Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding machines
- Cut, shape, and form metal parts using precision measurement tools and techniques
- Fabricate metal components according to specifications and quality standards
- Inspect completed welds and fabrications to ensure they meet project requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools
- Suggest improvements to welding and fabrication processes to enhance efficiency and quality
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Welding certification (e.g., AWS) preferred
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication
- Proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience using precision measurement tools and equipment
- Familiarity with metallurgy and material properties
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects efficiently
- Strong focus on workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions
- Willingness to work in Ado Ekiti, Nigeria
