Job description: Job Description:Our client is a construction company and they are looking for a Welder to join their team. The candidate will coordinate the daily activities of a small team of Welders taking guidance from supervisor while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in all aspects of the team’s activities.Job Responsibilities:
- Able to pressure test pipes and rectify leakage if any.
- Able to carry out soldering, copper welding etc.
- Have supervisory skills with the ability to handle medium size teams.
- Any other relevant duties that may be assigned by supervisor.
- Drive conformance with health & safety rules within your teams
- Perform work safely to protect you and others from harm
- Follow health and safety procedures, including wearing of personal protective equipment, obeying safety signs and safely using work tools
- Not tampering with or misusing safety equipment, devices or any other company property
- Report any identified defects and potential hazards in the workplace
- Inform your Supervisor/HSE Representatives/HSE Officer or QHSE Manager of any observed workplace injury, illness and incidents.
- Be familiar with the company’s emergency and evacuation procedures and the location of emergency equipment (fire extinguishers, first aid kit, etc.) in order to be able to take appropriate action in the event of an emergency
- Participate in incident investigation (if required)
- Promote the organization positive health and safety culture.
Requirements
- Knowledge of all tools and materials relevant to the weldering trade.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
- Knowledge of project management principles
