We are seeking an experienced WordPress Technical Consultant to conduct a comprehensive audit of our complex WordPress site. This role involves documenting the site’s functionality, including plugin use, integrations, and custom code, followed by a second phase focused on optimization strategies and potential improvements.Essential: use of GitHub Copilot to better understand and analyze the repo.About the Website:Our WordPress site is a large-scale WooCommerce implementation with multiple interconnected modules, including:● Online Shop (Physical Products, Gift Cards, Digital Items)● Online Courses (LearnDash)● Video Subscriptions & On-Demand Rentals● Weekly Free Videos (Scheduled Release System)● Teacher Search & Licensing Rules● Wholesale Program● User Dashboard & Communication Preferences● WP Fusion & HubSpot Integration● 60+ Active PluginsWe need a clear blueprint of how plugins, scripts, and custom code interact across these modules to ensure efficient, modular functionality.Project StagesStage 1: Documentation & Blueprint Creation● Conduct a full-site audit to map out plugin dependencies, integrations, and custom code.● Categorize plugins and scripts based on their role in specific site modules.● Document WooCommerce and LearnDash integration details and dependencies.● Provide a structured, detailed report that serves as a technical handoff guide for future developers or identify redundancies and unnecessary plugin loads across different sections of the site agencies.Stage 2: Optimization & Improvement Recommendations● Analyze opportunities for plugin/script consolidation, focusing on performance and efficiency.● Suggest strategies to improve site speed, including database optimizations and script minimization.●Identify better ways to structure plugin dependencies to improve site maintainability.Required Skills & Experience● Extensive experience with large-scale WordPress & WooCommerce sites.● Strong documentation skills-must be able to clearly articulate findings and technical blueprints.● Strong knowledge of plugin architecture, custom theme development, and performance optimization.● Experience with LearnDash or other LMS-related plugins.● Expertise in WooCommerce performance tuning and modular plugin optimization.●(preferred) Knowledge of AI tools that could assist in analyzing, documenting, or optimizing site performance.Deliverables● Full Plugin & Functionality Blueprint (documenting dependencies, integrations, and custom code).● List of Plugin Redundancies & Recommended Changes per Module.● Optimization Strategy for Plugin & Script Optimization per Module.Project Details● Project Type: One-Time Audit & Optimization Plan● Remote Work: Yes● Expected Timeline: 1-3 months
