Job Title: Additive Manufacturing Operator
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract
Job Summary
- As an Additive Manufacturing Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of additive manufacturing Machines.
Responsibilities
- Machine Setup and Operation
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Quality Control
- Documentation and Reporting
- Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during operation, such as nozzle clogs, print failures, or software glitches, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
- Inspect finished parts to verify dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and structural integrity.
- Identify and address any defects or deviations from specifications, either through manual post-processing techniques or by adjusting machine parameters.
- Maintain detailed records of machine settings, process parameters, and production activities.
- Generate reports on job progress, including production output, quality metrics, and any issues encountered during manufacturing.
- Prepare additive manufacturing machines for operation by loading materials, configuring parameters, and calibrating settings.
- Monitor the printing process to ensure parts are being produced according to specifications and quality standards.
- Adjust machine settings as needed to optimize build quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on additive manufacturing equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn components.
Qualification
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related Degree.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Previous experience operating additive manufacturing equipment preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of CAD software for design adjustments is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
