• Our client is seeking a diligent and trustworthy Cashier/Reconciliation Officer to manage daily cash handling, maintain accurate records of financial transactions, and reconcile inventory and sales reports for our bar and restaurant.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring transparency, accountability, and consistency across all cash and stock operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and process all payments (cash, POS, transfers) from customers.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions.
• Reconcile daily sales against inventory consumption for both the bar and restaurant.
• Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to verify stock usage and sales.
• Report any inconsistencies or discrepancies in inventory or cash records.
• Prepare daily and weekly reconciliation reports for management.
• Monitor stock movement and flag potential losses, breakages, or misuse.
• Ensure the cash register is balanced at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Assist in periodic stock counts and audits.
• Adhere strictly to internal controls and accounting standards.
• Ensure receipts and invoices are properly filed and organized.

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE with strong numeracy and record-keeping skills.
• Proven experience in cash handling or bookkeeping in a bar/restaurant or similar environment.
• Proficient in basic Excel or accounting software is an added advantage.
• Must reside in or close to Surulere, Lagos.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
