Summary
- The Contract Manager role in Lagos involves coordinating resources for project planning and execution, engaging with customers, and managing relationships with collaborators.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Coordinate internal and external resources for the seamless planning and execution of projects. This includes clarifying and consulting with customers on targets and requirements to provide technical solutions.
- Ensure adherence to PM standards and Business Conduct Guidelines (e.g., Tax regulations, Export Control, EHS).
- The position requires the Contract Manager to work on-site in Lagos.
- Responsible for material, job, and outage planning activities related to the scope of the contract.
- Support the execution team in managing spares, tools, and consumables for routine, planned, corrective work, and unplanned outages.
- Specialty in inventory management for controls, electrical, instrumentation & mechanical.
- Accountable for tracking achievements and adherence to budgets and schedules, initiating actions to minimize non-conformance costs, and crafting and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
- Manage relationships with customers and all internal and external project collaborators.
- Perform ongoing risk management during projects to identify and mitigate risks.
What You Bring
- 3 – 5 years Project Management experience
- PMP or Prince2 certification is a requirement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Business judgment to be capable and willing to escalate issues when required.
- General knowledge of Rotating Equipment (Turbines, Compressors, etc.) hardware – instrumentation, controls & mechanical.
- Proficient use of CMMS – SAP system.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools, Microsoft Project, and Primavera planning tools.
- Competence regarding gas turbine compressor package operation and design.
- Prior experience or knowledge of mechanics and rotating machinery (Gas and steam turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating Compressors) will be an advantage.
- Must be goal oriented, comfortable working in diverse teams, and experienced in managing multiple tasks.
- Understand company processes for outage planning and drive compliance with outage planning achievements.
