Role Overview

- The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of project costing processes, and experience in the engineering or construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, analyze, and maintain project budgets and cost estimates.
- Monitor project costs and expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and contractual obligations.
- Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals by providing detailed cost input.
- Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all cost-related data.
- Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and cost-to-complete analyses.
- Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and finance teams to ensure cost control.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage risk elements related to project costs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field.
- Proficiency in cost management software and Excel.
- Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proven experience (usually 3+ years) in cost engineering, cost control, or quantity surveying, preferably in engineering or construction sectors.
- Strong understanding of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial management.
