Global Alliance for Chemical Industry (GACI), is an agrochemical manufacturing entity in Nigeria that formulates and produces high-quality technical grade herbicides and insecticides.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Production Supervisor

Location: Kano

Job Brief

  • The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day production activities on the manufacturing floor.
  • This role involves ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining product quality, managing a team of production workers, and adhering to safety and compliance standards

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily production activities to meet targets, including shift arrangements and stock movement coordination.
  • Monitor production processes and schedules, conducting regular short interval control (SIC) meetings to drive real-time efficiency.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, yield, capacity utilization, waste rate, and employee productivity to support continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with maintenance to ensure production equipment is well-maintained, and address breakdowns promptly to reduce downtime.
  • Enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance, conducting safety inspections and ensuring a hazard-free production environment.
  • Maintain accurate production records and report on output, quality, incidents, and operational performance to management.
  • Ensure product quality by implementing and enforcing quality control procedures, and coordinating with the QC team to resolve issues.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, using SIC data and performance metrics to reduce waste and enhance efficiency.
  • Track and control raw material usage, analyze wastage, and propose recommendations to minimize losses and optimize material utilization.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Proficiency in using production management tools.
  • Ability to work with and meet up deadlines
  • Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends, Holidays and overtime if required
  • Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety standards
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
