Job description: Job DescriptionJob Title -Reservoir EngineerLine Manager – Reservoir Engineering LeadLocation – LagosCLIENT SUMMARYThe client is an exploration and production company focused on Nigeria.JOB SUMMARYEvaluate and optimize reservoir performance, develop reservoir models to maximize hydrocarbon recovery while potentially contributing to technology development.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with geoscientists to optimize recovery strategies and develop production forecasts.
  • Coordinate data acquisition programs, interpret, evaluate and integrate this data to develop, sustain and optimize production performance.
  • Collaborate with production engineers to analyze production data to generate lift curves required for making informed decisions regarding well design, equipment selection and production strategy.
  • Estimate reserves and assess the economic viability of field development projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including geoscientists, production engineers and economists.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (geoscience, planning and drilling) by providing required technical expertise for the planning and execution of new workover wells.
  • Support other technical cross-functional teams to monitor drilling operations and analyze results in real-time for timely informed decisions.
  • Provide technical support to drilling team for post-drill/post-workover review, coordinate post-drill resource and reserves bookings and prepare technical reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
  • Leverage subsurface data Pressure Volume Temperature (PVT) to define reservoir contacts and build subsurface models to evaluate dynamic properties of reservoirs, assess uncertainty, mitigate subsurface risks and generate production forecasts for field development planning.
  • Provide reservoir engineering input for well and completion design, subsurface, and facility development plans.
  • Conduct technical evaluation of prospects and discoveries with crossfunctional teams with focus on volumetric analysis and recoverable resource estimates, reservoir modelling, and economic analysis.
  • Participate in appraisal planning efforts providing technical input to optimize the scope and timing of data gathering during exploration and appraisal activities.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations on all aspects of asset development and reservoir management lifecycle

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIRED

  • 7-10 years’ relevant experience.
  • Have a good working knowledge of PVT, SCAL, reserves, production optimization, forecasting and integrated modelling.
  • Proficient in the use of Eclipse and Petrel RE applications with a strong background on black-oil and EOS modelling.
  • Possess intermediate skill in log interpretation.
  • Proficient in Pressure Transient Analysis (PTA) using Saphir.
  • Possess good experience in Decline Curve Analysis (DCA) using OFM and
  • Material Balance Analysis (MBA) using MBAL.
  • Must have good proficiency with Microsoft office applications such as Ms
  • Word, Ms Excel, Ms PowerPoint, Ms Project etc.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in petroleum, chemical engineering any relevant engineering discipline from a reputable higher institution.

  • A minimum of Second Class Upper degree.
  • A Second Class Lower degree could be considered for candidates with advanced degrees (MSc, MBA, or equivalent).
