Second, due to our close involvement and deep experience, we can provide risk-tolerant capital to our companies in the most flexible way.Our model provides positive impact and financial returns because we only work with exceptional entrepreneurs, are backed by the most visionary investors, institutions, and foundations, and because we are Persistent.Your Role:Persistent is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Analyst to support our fundraising and investor relations efforts. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, resourceful, and eager to work alongside senior leadership. In the role, they will advance the final close of the $70 million Persistent Africa Climate Venture Builder (ACV) Fund. In that regard, the Senior Analyst will work closely with the firm’s partners, helping coordinate processes, materials, and communications to ensure a successful fundraise and strong ongoing investor engagement. The Senior Analyst will also manage the processes of arranging and planning Persistent Board of Directors meetings and meetings of the ACV Fund’s Limited Partners Advisory Committee (LPAC).This is a fixed term 12 month contract with the opportunity to extend.Key Responsibilities:Fundraising Support

  • Assist in managing and tracking the fundraising process for Persistent’s current funds, including outreach coordination and follow-ups with potential investors.
  • Manage the preparation and updating of investor-facing materials (e.g., pitch decks, data room contents, presentations, FAQs).
  • Maintain and organize the virtual data room, ensuring information is current, complete, and professionally presented.
  • Monitor investor interest, schedule meetings, and manage calendars in coordination with the partners.
  • Assist the Partners in managing fundraising efforts to streamline their workloads.
  • Assist with due diligence requests and materials for prospective investors (e.g., questionnaires, presentation decks), including coordinating due diligence visits (e.g., on-site and virtual agenda).
  • Manage the relationship with grant and fundraising partners.
  • Manage the bidding process and grant applications for applicable funding opportunities.

Investor Relations

  • Support Persistent Board of Directors meetings (e.g., arranging meetings, preparing agendas and materials, note-taking, follow up).
  • Support Persistent in arranging and managing LPAC meetings (e.g., arranging meetings, preparing agendas and materials, note-taking, follow up).
  • Coordinate with current and prospective investors on in communications (arranging shareholder calls, Limited Partner calls and annual meetings, etc.).

Cross-functional Coordination

  • Work closely with Persistent’s Marketing and Communications team to align messaging and content with investor, director and LPAC member materials.
  • Serve as a bridge between Persistent’s Partners and external stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery of requests and information.
  • Support internal reporting and tracking of business development activities.

Profile of the Ideal Candidate:

  • 2-4 years of professional experience in finance, consulting, business development, project management or investor relations, or a related field.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality presentations and documents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Affinity, Salesforce) is a plus.
  • A collaborative and proactive attitude, comfortable working in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated interest in climate, energy access, or sustainable investing.
  • Location and travel: You are based in either Nigeria, Kenya, Switzerland or the US and are able to travel on a limited basis as needed.
