Job description: About the ClientOur client is a global industrial group specializing in services for the oil and gas sector, is hiring for its Nigerian subsidiary to support a major gas extraction plant construction project.About the RoleThe Site Construction Manager is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and execution of all on-site construction activities for onshore oil & gas project in Nigeria. This leadership role ensures that construction operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, schedules, and quality standards. The Site Construction Manager serves as the senior authority at the construction site, driving productivity, compliance, and project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, coordinate, and manage all construction activities on site, across civil, mechanical, piping, structural, and E&I disciplines.Ensure construction is executed safely and in compliance with HSE policies, client requirements, and regulatory standards.Supervise construction superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and site personnel to achieve daily and overall project targets.Maintain strict adherence to the construction schedule and proactively manage delays or disruptions.Collaborate with engineering, planning, procurement, quality, and HSE teams to support seamless execution.Monitor progress, quality, and productivity, implementing corrective actions when needed.Oversee materials and equipment readiness, logistics coordination, and resource deployment.Conduct regular site meetings and provide detailed construction progress reports to the Project Manager.Review and validate construction documentation including method statements, ITPs, and red-line drawings.Participate in pre-commissioning and mechanical completion processes.Manage interface with client site representatives and maintain strong stakeholder communication.Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical) or equivalent technical qualification.Minimum of 12–15 years of construction experience in the oil & gas industry, with at least 5 years in a site leadership role.Proven track record managing large, multidisciplinary teams on complex onshore construction projects.In-depth knowledge of construction standards, project management processes, and industry best practices.Strong skills in construction planning, risk management, cost control, and contractor supervision.Familiarity with construction-related software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD).Demonstrated ability to lead in challenging, remote site conditions and multicultural environments.Certifications & Additional RequirementsValid HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH IGC, OSHA, or equivalent).Training in Permit to Work (PTW), SIMOPS, lifting operations, and confined space entry.Fluent in English; knowledge of French and local languages is a plus.Willing to work on a rotation in remote or high-risk environments in Nigeria.Conditions & BenefitsLocation: NigeriaContract Type: Fixed-term contract or permanent opportunityCompetitive salary package based on experience⏳ Roster & Remote Work Options: 9 weeks on 3 weeks offCareer Growth: Opportunity to work on high-impact engineering projects with industry leadersAccommodation: Base camp in NigeriaLanguage: EnglishJoin Us at Easy SkillAt Easy Skill, we are transforming the way people and businesses collaborate.
