Job Title: Web and Product Design Associate
Location: Yaba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-Time (Hybrid Work Model)
Job Summary
- We are seeking a Product Design Associate to join our growing design team.
- This role requires strong visual and interaction design skills, a user-centred mindset, and hands-on experience working with platforms like WordPress/Shopify, as a content and product platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end product design process — including research, wireframing, prototyping, user testing, and final interface design
- Design and optimise WordPress/Shopify-based websites, focusing on usability, responsiveness, and user engagement
- Conduct user research, analyse findings, and apply insights to improve product usability and performance
- Ensure consistency with brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and responsive design best practices
- Maintain and contribute to design systems and reusable components for product consistency and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define problems and co-create effective solutions
- Create design assets such as wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups
Requirements
- 3 – 4 years of experience in a product design, user interface design, or user experience design role
- Understanding of user-centred design principles, information architecture, and responsive design
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus
- Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills
- Ability to incorporate feedback and iterate designs quickly based on team or user input.
- Strong portfolio showcasing product design work across web and digital platforms
- Practical experience designing for WordPress or Shopify, including layout design, customisation, or theme integration
- Proficiency in Figma
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, Hotjar, or other behaviour analytics platforms
- Experience contributing to or managing a design system
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles
- Interest in learning about product strategy and how design decisions impact business goals.
