Job Title: YouTube Channel Manager (Hausa Speaking)
Location: Lagos
About the Role
- We are seeking a skilled YouTube Channel Manager to develop and manage a new YouTube channel focused on Yoruba/Hausa content from Nigerian producers.
- The role involves video editing, channel optimization, and performance monitoring to maximize advertising revenue.
Key Responsibilities
Video Editing:
- Edit programs according to project guidelines.
- Create trailers, teasers, Shorts, and promotional videos.
Rights Holder Coordination:
- Liaise with content providers on editorial, marketing, and legal matters.
- Resolve copyright claims in collaboration with rights holders.
YouTube Channel Management:
- Upload and optimize videos (metadata, thumbnails, monetization).
- Organize content into playlists and schedule publications.
- Track performance metrics and generate reports.
Social Media Promotion:
- Develop platform-specific content (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok).
- Implement best practices, including trend adaptation and engagement strategies.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop.
- Strong knowledge of YouTube Studio, CMS, and Content ID.
- Fluent in professional English
- Fluent in Hausa
- Analytical mindset with experience in performance tracking.
- Experience managing YouTube channels (either personal or for brands/agencies).
- Solid copywriting and communication skills.
Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Yoruba language
- Intermediate Excel skills for data analysis.
