We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Early Years Teacher (Creche / Pre-Nursery / Nursery)
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Key Responsibilities
- Create a warm, welcoming, and safe environment for all children.
- Plan, implement and evaluate engaging, age-appropriate learning activities.
- Support children’s physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development.
- Foster strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Promote inclusive practices and celebrate diversity in the classroom.
- Collaborate with parents and carers to ensure continuity in learning and care.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and safeguarding at all times.
- Observe, assess, and document children’s progress in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or relevant curriculum framework.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual learners, including those with additional needs.
Required Competencies & Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education (Montessori Diploma, EYTS, ECE Diploma, or equivalent).
- Excellent communication, observation, and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing disposition.
- Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Proven experience working with children from 5 months to 5 years.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and age-appropriate practices.
- Ability to plan and implement differentiated learning experiences.
